The cookie shot is one of those desserts from Dominique Ansel Bakery that I really wanted from Day 1. It just sounded amazing. A warm cookie cooked into the shape of a shot glass then filled with sweet milk to be sipped and eaten immediately. That man and baking team is amazing!
So the cookie shot, similar to the Cronut, can be difficult to come by. They only served starting at 3pm and it's first come, first serve. One evening, Mr. M&P was in the area and decided to swing by and see if we can grab a couple. Lucky for us, they were still available around 5pm. Score! And what's even better is that you can order it to go. What?! Heck yes! So I ordered 2 (that's the max) and brought it back to the car (no parking in the area) and we enjoyed the treat.

Tuesday Nights: Onieals
Towards the end of one year, my friends thought that we weren't hanging out enough. It's true, we weren't. So they started Tuesday night get-togethers. Every Tuesday, we'll pick a bar to drink, eat, and hang out for a couple of hours. Whoever can make it will attend. If you're busy, it's okay. There's always next week. So this is Tuesday Nights on Tasty Eating where you will find bars that serve food and how we like them.
On this recent Tuesday Night, we headed out to: Onieals
Changing things up for Tuesday night. We picked a location downtown that's on the cusp on Chinatown. Oniels is a bar with spacious room. You can sit at the bar or request a table. We chose the table. They gave a tray of amuse bouche to start the night. This was mango salsa toasts. A nice refreshing start to the night. Light, bright, and sweet.

Dominique Ansel: Cronut
Everyone has been talking about the Cronut. The demand, the limited supply. People line up for hours in the wee hours of the morning to get a taste of this doughnut-croissant hybrid. But you know, there's an easier way to get your hands on a Cronut. Order them online. Yup, and that's exactly what I did to get my hands on some Cronuts. It was fairly simple and I was successful twice out of the three times that I tried. Well, the first time, I didn't know I needed an active Paypal account so my Cronuts were released back to the masses to snag. I didn't make that same mistake the second time around.
